TorcUP of Canada is pleased to announce their corporate sponsorship of Alex Tagliani, driver of Conquest Racing's #34 entry in the 2009 Indy Car Series. Alex is currently only 1 of 2 Canadian drivers remaining in the series. Alex will be wearing the TorcUP of Canada logo on his fire suit during 2009 events. The TorcUP of Canada logo will also be predominantly displayed during the Long Beach Grand Prix and the Edmonton Indy July 24-26.

Arriving to the first race of the season in St. Petersburg, FL having not been in the car for 6 months, had minimal practice and still qualified 9th out of over 20 cars and set the 2nd fasted lap time of the weekend, finishing in 10th place in the race despite a 1st lap altercation and having a car flatten his tire mid-race. He backed up his solid performances in St. Pete and Long Beach with his performance in the world's biggest race: The Indianapolis 500. Alex drove from dead last (33rd position) to finish in 11th, earning Top Rookie of the Race honours.
